Overview

The VPC01-AN is a slot-in Android compute module designed for integration with ViewSonic ViewBoard interactive flat panel displays. It is deployed in digital signage, education, and enterprise presentation environments where an embedded computing unit is required inside the display rather than an external PC. The module enables standalone Android-based operation of compatible large-format displays.

At a technical level, the unit is built around a Rockchip RK3399 processor with a heterogeneous ARM big.LITTLE architecture, combining Cortex-A72 performance cores with Cortex-A53 efficiency cores. It includes 4GB RAM and 32GB internal eMMC storage, allowing local application execution and multimedia playback without external computing hardware. The system runs Android 7.1 as its operating platform.

In deployment, the VPC01-AN is installed directly into compatible ViewBoard IFP50 series displays via a dedicated slot-in bay. Once installed, it transforms the display into a self-contained interactive system capable of running apps, web content, and digital signage workflows without a connected PC.

The module integrates standard enterprise connectivity including Gigabit Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 3.0 ports, and microSD expansion support. These interfaces allow it to operate in both wired corporate networks and wireless presentation environments.

A typical deployment scenario includes classroom interactive whiteboards where teachers run Android-based learning applications directly on the display, or corporate meeting rooms where presentations and collaboration tools are executed without external laptops.

This module is not suitable for general-purpose computing or high-performance workloads such as 3D rendering or modern desktop applications, as it is limited to embedded Android workloads and display-centric use cases.
