The port configuration is strategically split, offering 40 ports of 802.3at PoE+ and 8 ports of 802.3bt PoE++, making it an ideal solution for deploying a mix of standard VoIP hardware and high-draw equipment such as Wi-Fi 6/6E access points and PTZ surveillance cameras.
To prevent backhaul bottlenecks, the switch features four 10G SFP+ ports, enabling high-capacity fiber uplinks to the network core. Beyond standard switching, this unit supports advanced Layer 3 features, including inter-VLAN routing, static routing, and DHCP server capabilities, which offloads traffic processing from the security gateway. For mission-critical reliability, the USW-PRO-48-POE includes a DC input for the UniFi SmartPower RPS, providing a seamless power failover mechanism. Managed via the UniFi Network application, it offers a centralized interface for granular port control, VLAN tagging, and real-time telemetry, while the integrated 1.3″ color touchscreen provides immediate on-site hardware diagnostics.
