The Startech USB3C2ESAT3 is a USB‑C to eSATA adapter cable designed to provide direct connectivity between USB‑C or Thunderbolt 3/4 host ports and standard eSATA storage devices. It allows technicians, engineers, and IT support personnel to access eSATA‑based external drives without requiring native eSATA ports on modern systems.

This cable operates over a USB 3.0 interface (up to 5 Gbps) while exposing an eSATA male connector for external storage devices such as HDDs, SSDs, or ODDs. It supports standard SATA commands and functions, including SMART self‑monitoring, facilitating drive diagnostics, data recovery, and transfer tasks in lab, field, or desktop environments.

The 1 m (≈3 ft) cable length offers flexibility for setups on workbenches, service desks, and portable test rigs. It is designed for plug‑and‑play use without requiring additional drivers on supported operating systems, making it suitable for ad‑hoc drive access across varied platforms.
