The HPE SN6640C Multiservice Storage Fibre Channel Switch is a high-performance, compact solution designed for hybrid storage environments requiring both Fibre Channel (FC) and FCIP connectivity. It comes with a base configuration of four 32Gb Fibre Channel ports and two 1/10Gb Ethernet ports, expandable to 12 FC and 6 FCIP ports via an upgrade license. Delivering an aggregate bandwidth of up to 384Gbps, this switch provides high-speed SAN connectivity while supporting multiple media types, including 32Gb, 16Gb, and 8Gb FC, as well as 40GbE, 25GbE, 10GbE, and 1GbE Ethernet. Advanced security features include AES encryption, hardware-assisted IPsec encryption, and Fibre Channel Security Protocol (FC-SP) for secure data transmission. Designed for reliability, it features non-disruptive software upgrades, hot-swappable components, and redundant power supplies for seamless data center operations.
