The ExtremeSwitching X435-8P-4S Ethernet switch is a versatile solution designed for cost-conscious enterprises seeking high-performance connectivity at the network edge or in branch/small sites. With its economical yet robust design, this switch offers comprehensive Layer 2 switching, static routing, advanced Power over Ethernet (PoE), role-based policy enforcement, and robust security features. Powered by Extreme Networks’ ExtremeXOS, it ensures reliable and efficient operation for diverse networking needs.

The X435 Series comprises three 8-port compact Gigabit Ethernet switches and two 24-port Gigabit Ethernet models, featuring up to 4 x 1 / 2.5 Gb SFP uplink ports. Notably, the 8-port models are fanless, ensuring quiet operation suitable for noise-sensitive environments. Additionally, IEEE 802.3at PoE+ models are available, capable of powering IP Phones, wireless APs, surveillance cameras, and other PoE-enabled devices.

One standout feature is the 8-port model with PoE pass-through, which can draw power from an upstream PoE switch while providing up to 100W of downstream PoE to connected devices. This flexibility simplifies deployment and enhances power management in network setups.
