The Cisco QSFP-100G-CU2M is a 2 metre (≈6.6 ft) direct-attach copper twin-ax cable assembly designed to link two QSFP28 100 Gb/s ports in adjacent racks or within a single rack for high-density switch environments. It supports 100 GBASE-CR4 over a passive copper link, enabling 100 Gbps full-duplex connectivity without the power or optics of active modules. The cable assembly adheres to QSFP28 form-factor specifications and plugs into a standard QSFP28 port, enabling simplicity and consistency in a data centre or enterprise network. Because it uses passive twin-ax copper, it is suited for short-reach interconnects where fibre may be unnecessary and cost or latency need to be minimised.
