The Black Box LHC029A-R4 Fast Ethernet Media Converter provides a convenient and cost-effective solution for bringing fiber connectivity to desktop environments without the need for fiber NICs. These Multipower Miniature Media Converters enable seamless integration of fiber into your network setup, offering versatility and ease of installation.
Simply connect the Miniature Media Converter to your PC’s copper port using a CAT5 cable, and then connect a fiber cable to the converter’s other side. These compact converters can be discreetly tucked behind your PC, providing a seamless link between 10- and 100-Mbps segments and fiber cabling. They also function as data rate converters, supporting 10/100 autonegotiation on the twisted-pair port.
Choose from various versions including multimode duplex, single-mode duplex, and single-mode single-strand duplex fiber options to suit your specific requirements. For added flexibility, power the Multipower Miniature Media Converter through an external AC power supply (included with each converter), a USB Power Adapter Cable (sold separately), or a rackmount PowerTray (also sold separately).
