Overview

ICY DOCK MB705M2P-B is an M.2 NVMe SSD to U.2 (SFF-8639) converter and mounting adapter designed for enterprise and workstation storage systems. It allows a standard M.2 NVMe SSD to be used in a 2.5-inch U.2 hot-swap drive bay without modifying system hardware.

It supports PCIe NVMe SSDs in multiple M.2 lengths and provides a U.2 interface with full NVMe bandwidth support. The aluminum enclosure acts as a heatsink while also protecting the SSD from physical damage and improving thermal performance under sustained workloads.
