Overview

The Cisco IEM-3300-16T is a modular expansion unit designed to plug into the Cisco IE-3300 Rugged Series base switches (and compatible IE3400 series) to add 16 additional Gigabit copper RJ-45 ports. It provides expanded port density without replacing the base switch, making it suitable for industrial access deployments like machine-tool clusters, sensor racks or sub-station cabinets where you need more copper ports and fibre uplinks on the same chassis. It inherits the hardened design of the IE3300 family — DIN-rail or rack mount variants fit into harsh environments, allowing the OT network engineer to scale access ports with minimal changes.
