How This Product Works:
Featuring 4 Auto-Negotiation RJ45 ports equipped with Power over Ethernet (PoE) functionality, the TL-SG1008P can automatically detect and supply power to IEEE 802.3af compliant Powered Devices (PDs). This innovative feature enables the transmission of electrical power alongside data over a single cable, facilitating network expansion in areas where traditional power sources are unavailable. Ideal for deploying devices such as access points, IP cameras, or IP phones, the TL-SG1008P simplifies network setup and enhances flexibility.
Overload Arrangement:
The TL-SG1008P incorporates a priority function to safeguard system integrity in the event of power overload. If the total power consumption of all PoE PDs exceeds 53W, the switch dynamically allocates priority among the PoE ports, ensuring uninterrupted operation. In instances of extreme overload, the system will automatically cut off power to the lowest-priority port, optimizing performance and protecting connected devices.
